Plasma is a state of matter. Usually, matter exists in three states: solid, liquid, and gas. However, in some special cases, it can exist in a fourth state, such as the matter on the surface of the sun and the matter in the ionosphere in the earth's atmosphere. The state of this kind of matter is called the plasma state, also known as the fourth state of matter. The following substances exist in plasma. Electrons in a high-speed motion state; neutral atoms, molecules, and atomic groups (free radicals) in an activated state; ionized atoms and molecules; ultraviolet rays generated during the molecular dissociation reaction; unreacted molecules and atoms, etc., but the matter remains electrically neutral overall.

The plasma cleaning machine uses gas as the cleaning medium, which effectively avoids the secondary contamination of the object being cleaned by the liquid cleaning medium. The cleaning machine is connected to a vacuum pump. When working, the plasma in the cleaning chamber gently flushes the surface of the object being cleaned. A short cleaning time can completely clean the organic pollutants. At the same time, the pollutants are pumped away by the vacuum pump, and the cleaning degree reaches the molecular level. In addition to the super cleaning function, under certain conditions, the surface properties of certain materials can be changed as needed. The plasma acts on the surface of the material to reorganize the chemical bonds of the surface molecules and form new surface characteristics. For some materials with special uses, the glow discharge in the super cleaning process not only enhances the adhesion, compatibility and wettability of these materials, but also can disinfect and sterilize.

The specific applications of plasma cleaning machines include activation of plastic, glass and ceramic surfaces: glass, ceramic and plastic (such as polypropylene, PTFE, etc.) are basically non-polar, so these materials must be surface activated before bonding, painting and coating; metal degreasing and cleaning: metal surfaces often have organic matter and oxide layers such as grease and oil stains. Before sputtering, painting, bonding, bonding, welding, brazing and PVD, CVD coating, plasma treatment is required to obtain a completely clean surface without an oxide layer. In addition to the above applications, it is also used in optics, optoelectronics, electronics, materials science, life sciences, polymer science, biomedicine, microfluidics and other fields.
