CIF appears in Dalian, why?

     On November 23, 2019, the 7th Microfluidic Chip High-end Forum opened at the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in Dalian. The high-end forum was hosted by the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences and the China Bioassay Monitoring Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance, hosted by the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and co-organized by Dalian University of Technology, Dalian Medical University and Instrument Information Network. This high-end forum lasted for two days, from November 23 to November 24. The forum was positioned as small and high-end, attracting more than 250 experts and scholars from chemistry, medicine, mechanics, engineering, biology, materials science, optics and other fields. The participating scholars had a full and in-depth exchange on the application of the research and development of microfluidic chip core technology in organ chips, single cell analysis and POCT.

Microfluidic chips have a wide range of applications and are expected to achieve major breakthroughs in precision medicine, personalized medicine, drug screening and other fields. It is hoped that relevant scholars will strengthen cooperation and jointly promote the scientific research and application development of microfluidic chip technology and its major fields.

Microfluidic chips have been considered an important emerging scientific and technological platform in contemporary times and a strategic field for industrial transformation at the national level. In 2017, the "13th Five-Year Plan for Biotechnology Innovation" issued by the Ministry of Science and Technology listed microfluidic technology as a disruptive technology in the category of "breaking through several cutting-edge key technologies".
